CompuGroup Medical takes great pride in participating in projects that drive eHealth forward. We are present at multiple levels ranging from local community projects to large Pan-European projects.
National Projects
Besides participating in large Pan-European projects such as the epSOS, CompuGroup Medical is also participating in multiple national eHealth projects. In Denmark, one of the leading nations in the use of eHealth, we have participated in several projects promoting the use of eHealth.
SDSD
In Denmark has a quasi-governmental organization, SDSD, been in charge for organizing and developing measures for the implementation of eHealth in Denmark. Being the largest provider to primary healthcare in Denmark with an estimate 50% market share we are naturally participating in the projects about sharing of data. One of these projects is the Shared Medication Record.
Shared Medication Record
By the end of 2011 a national medication record will be implemented. This record will contain updated information on present medication given everywhere in the health sector (e.g. pharmacy and hospital) and will be accessible to relevant personal and the citizen via the health professionals own system or portal.
The benefits
The major effect of the shared medication record is to prevent medication errors following a lack of knowlegde about the patients current medication and possible allergies. If you want to know more about the programmes in Denmark with the purpsoe of improving eHealth, you can take a look at the SDSD-website.
