The "Top 25 German E-Learning Companies" ranking was recently published by the MMB Institue for Media and Competence Research.
CompuGroup Medical is not only listed in the "Top 25 German E‐Learning Companies". CompuGroup Medical is with their e‐learning program, CGM Inmedea, the company with the strongest sales, with regard to specialization strictly in the medical sector.
Despite the financial crisis in 2009, the e‐learning sector is continuing its growth, according to the results of the MMB e‐learning industry rankings for 2010. The industry volume for the estimated 250 German e‐learning companies was right at 346 million euros for 2009, which is a 5 percent increase compared to 2008.
CGM Inmedea works with the simulation of clinical processes via virtual patients. The graphics provide all of the options of a modern hospital. Only internet access and a browser are needed for access to CGM Inmedea. Users diagnose and treat virtual patients in various specialized hospital departments and decisions are made just like in real life situations. An integrated expert system provides feedback about the best way to proceed and about use of resources. Topics that are relevant to the medical practice are not only worked on theoretically, but are actively conveyed through the virtual patient.
